Moving to BA from Scotland

Ive spent several months travelling to BA on holiday over last few years and have decided to make the move permanent.
I am from Glasgow in Scotland and hoping to move before end of 2007.
I am currently selling my home in UK to finance the move and looking to buy in BA and find a job teaching english.
Any UK ex pats out there who can give me any tips?
