Hi everyone

I have a friend who will be visiting BA for 2 nights. Can anyone recommend any "hidden gems" for dining? He has $$ but likes to eat at non-pretentious places. Anyone have a favorite hole in the wall to recommend?

Thanks!
Mariana

Cafe San Juan. late seating.

El Pobre Luis... it's not La Cabrera meat-wise, but it definitely has more of a futbol-loving portena onda. El Obrero could also fit the bill, or Guido's. The thing is for these last three, kind of a 'the more the merrier' scenario.

One of my recent faves is Sanbenito. It is certainly a bit on the elegant side but I wouldn't say pretentious. Could be nice to see Belgrano as well if he's only in town for 2 days, he may otherwise not...

yes i, too, do love and recommend las pizarras sobre thames por charcas.

My favourite restaurants atm are

Crizia , Mott, Sipan, Mochica,
