On Monday , Buquebus will christen their new ferry that will travel between Montevideo and Buenos Aires .
CFK and Pepe Mujica , the President of Uruguay will carry out the ceremony and name the boat “Francisco” in honour of the His Holiness the Pope.
The boat was built in Australia and will run in Liquid Natural Gas , the first passenger ferry to do so.
The journey time will be cut to 2 hours and 10 minutes , about 50/55 minutes less than the present journey.
The boat goes into service on Wednesday 2[sup]nd[/sup] October . As far as I can see prices remain at the same level as before , but I wonder for how much longer.
