Not recieving 5G on my Pixel 9 pro handset.

If you want to troubleshoot your 5G connection, you can:Turn off Battery Saver: Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Saver to ensure it is deactivated.Check Preferred Network Type: Go to Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Preferred network type and make sure 5G is selected.Reset your network settings: Go to Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth.

I have pixel 8 pro and do get 5G service. Keep in mind if you are getting LTE, it is sufficient for most use cases. Some people actually turn off 5G on purpose to increase battery time.
It shouldn't be necessary to turn off 5G, your phone is on 4G, and will only activate the 5G leg if the data throughput merits it (the 5G activation thresholds are determined by the network). You get much faster data throughput on 5G in Argentina (band n78 / C-band), so your phone will be done with its data transfer much quicker and can return to idle, where it uses very little battery power.

Some phones (iPhones, Motorola at least, and I hope most others by now) will autonomously release the 5G connection for low throughput applications like listening to music, but will still maintain the 5G icon.
