nuevo latino restaurants

I'm guessing you're thinking of the sorts of places Doug Rodriguez has popularized in the US.

I don't know any restaurants that are exactly in that mold, but if you're a fan of Doug's restaurants in Miami or Philadelphia, the Peruana-Japonesa kitchens here should please.

Osaka's cuisine, for example, is somewhere between Ola and Nobu, with imaginative ceviches offered alongside designer sushi rolls. Sipan is similar. Honing a little closer to Peruana traditions, Astrid y Gastón and Pozo Santo offer updated causas and tiraditos as well as a variety of ceviches.

These Palermo places are all highly recommended, as is M in San Telmo, and there are lots more smaller, less expensive places playing in the same zone.
