Obtaining Residencia Transitoria como Académico

NAY,thought we were talking about citizens of Mozambique?pal.
which country do I think they would like, not for me to say but probably
anyone that you weren't living in would be preferable.

Dear all!
Sorry for delay with responding. Thank you so much for your valuable advice. Now the Argentine embassy told me to apply for a student visa. So I will have to do what they say even though I really don't think it's the most appropriate one for me.
Thanks so much once again and hope to see some of you when I get to Argentina :)))
Best wishes,
Elena

hasn't moved?

What? When were you last in London?

Out of interest what is the field of study and what is your background university? I'd be faintly surprised if once you are here then you don't find there are any academic links you cant hook onto especially if you have a smattering of spanish and some introductions from UK universities. At least I've not had any problems both with UBA and the private ones where local academics are only too curious to pick up anything which may be of interest/use.

last time in london?last year,i think but i wasn't going to fco or argie consulate so who knows what happens.

Bizarre!

Erasmus reputedly said "In the land of the blind the one eyed is king".

So is it possible that a philosophical Mr Poroto is declaiming "in the land of the wacky then it is the most weird who is president"?

Hi, Phil!
My field is higher education research. I am specialising in the area of researcher development. I've done my Masters at Edinburgh university, and am now finishing my PhD at Glasgow Caledonian University on the project related to employability development of doctoral candidates. I have received a grant to do a small project at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata also related to researcher development. I must say I have received mixed responses when I tried to contact academics in Argentina. Some were very interested but some never replied or did not come to the meeting :) Is that common? I am glad your experience there is positive. What is your area of research?
Best,
Elena

It's common in personal, academic, professional, and any other context you can imagine.
