Pesos to Dollars in Brazil or Uruguay

Sorry to keep harping on about this but i was just wondering if anyone has had any luck or knows whether its possible to change pesos into dollars in Uruguay or Brazil.

Yeah i was there recently with arg pesos - the average they give you is about 3.30 uruguayas to an Argentine peso (it's a miserable rate everywhere as no one wants to be stuck with arg pesos right now), then it's around 19.50 uruguayos to one us dollar.
So they'll charge you something around 5.5 - 6 Argentine pesos to the dollar. I'd say you're better off changing it in Argentina either way.

In Guarulhos (SP Airport) they give you 0.38 REals for peso...which is slightly worse that what you would get in Baires.

I can confirm that one can freely convert pesos to any other currency in Brazil. The fist exchange booth in Rio agreed to buy pesos and sell dollars for them. The rate is bad though - 7.0 ARS/ USD. Still, I was happy to get at least anything.

Last week end in Colonia you were lucky to get $3 uruguayans per peso Arg.
