Phone Plans? So Far, No, With A 1 Year Visa

Hi guys, When I was in Salta for some years I was not able to get a phone plan (from Personal or MovieStar, etc.) because my DNI was renewable every year (it had to be good for more than 1 year). I didn't use my phone too much so I used carga virtual and wifi and that worked pretty well.

Now that I'm going to be in BA, I thought I would revisit this. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to how I can get a minimal phone plan with my lowly 1 year DNI? I think I might do well to have ready access to data while I am out and about without having to rely upon wifi hotspots.

Appreciate any insights or inside tips ...
