Question re: entry to Buenos Aires with 1 way ticket from US

Can anyone confirm if they've had any trouble entering Argentina from the US without a return ticket to the US recently?

My husband, who is an Argentine national and I planning on visiting and possibly moving back in April.
I don't have residency there, but we were married there in 2018. My partner says we'll be fine as we've never had issues in the past just having a one way ticket.

It seems there are new rules stating you must?
Anyone here know for certain?

If you are a citizen of Argentina you can do it, I did it.

It’s up to the desk agent to check at your point of departure.
Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, if they do check and you don’t have a return ticket they won’t let you check in.

They don’t check at migraciones once you arrive.

Your answer.....nobody can answer becauser it depends on who is the last person you talk to checking in. So....dumb queston. Just go buy a refundable ticket from a majot U.S. airline using a credit card.....and be done with problems

Think..... the airline will always check. And....good idea to print out that return ticket...makes things go smoother.

I was just concerned because of the wording on AA's website regarding new rules on Argentina's side.

I advise you to have plan B ready. It happened to me (from eu though), so I ended up paying ticket to montevideo, otherwise I would not be able to board the plane, no matter anything. So go early to the airport and check some affordable flex tickets beforehand. I also heard they might check this if plane is overbooked, to get rid of a problem, but that's hearsay.

As others have said, depends on the airline. American Airlines couldn’t care less. Avianca and other latam-based airlines make a fuss about it even if your husband has citizenship.

Migraciones doesn’t care.

There are websites that will sell you an onward ticket for $16. It's an actual ticket with a real PNR if anyone wants to check. You pay $16 download and print your ticket, and they automatically cancel it in 72 hours.
