I assume you are only speaking of supermarkets, I found restaurant prices close to double what they are here.

Supermarkets also seemed a little more expensive and with less selection.

Restaurants tend to have a 2 for 1 offer thats not terrible, the supermarkets were hit and miss last time i was there, some things were cheaper some were more expensive but they did have more choice. Uruguayan, Brazilian and the usual argy stuff. It was as if Mercosur actually works there!
