12 other reasons to be happy on my part:
Everyday life:
1. Good public transport, numerous bus routes, late buses
2. Numerous taxis with completely objective tariff measurement
3. Good street signage
4. Restaurants working late with the kitchen operating even after midnight
5. Always nice lobbies in the houses
6. Swimming pools and gyms in the houses
7. The "lawn culture" - on a sunny day, every piece of grass is a picnic spot
8. Cultural variety - many cultural centers, stages, music performances
People:
9. Very outgoing and responsive - it is completely normal to strike a conversation with a stranger (say, at a cultural event)
10. Volunteering to help even without being asked - for example, if they see you looking for your way in the city
11. Genuinely interested in culture - my friends who are musicians confirm that Argentinean spectators are the most thankful audience
Tango (deserves a separate point):
12. It is not only a cultural movement, I think it is an exports item for the economy. And it is not only the tourists attracted to festivals who spend money here but also the people who came to Argentina to dance tango and then stayed. They found a job and then they keep working in the country and paying taxes (hopefully). I personally know two such foreigners who immigrated to Argentina because of tango (not really foreigner anymore)
