Renewing your U.S. passport at the embassy here

Can't you use a courier* as mail delivery? I'm sure you're not restricted to use the national mail service. Honestly, I can't imagine the US consulate continues to use this systems if it doesn't work.

*the courier being you dropping the passport off at the window.

The answer is yes you can drop it off at the Embassy. I exchanged emails with them yesterday. You must fill out all the forms for the mail-in renewal, and provide all the documentation required, of course.

I asked about processing times but they didn´t answer that Q yet.

Thanks for your input, everyone!

I dropped my paperwork off in an envelope with the address as if I were the personal mailman. They accepted it and I asked to be notified when it was ready to be picked up instead of having it mailed, and they did so.

FYI, the embassy responded to me by email that it takes 10-14 calendar days to process from the time you drop it off.

Its actually pretty easy and quick, much easier than mailing a letter at the Correos Argentinos.
