Russia is going to put natural gas in their 1 gas tanker. Sail down the pacific and around the horn and deliver gas to Argentina when they can sell every liter they produce to Europe via pipeline. Stick to lawyering and Tango. This doesn't pencil out.

Russian Gas to Arg is not likely to happen, but since they have the 5th largest foreign currency reserve + gas to sell, Russia can freely trade with just about anyone they like in whatever currency suits their fancy. So they would have no problem buying grain from South America.

The sanctions are the US cutting off Europe's nose to spite Putin's face. It's silly showmanship for a domestic public that needs a boogeyman to hate, but in the real world it is not a huge deal.
