After we paid our seguro de caución, the realtor let us know that there would be a fundamental change to our contract because the owner is selling the apartment. Apparently they knew it was on the market when we paid our seña, but didn't tell us. We haven't signed the contract yet and don't want to move into a place where we might have to move out again in 4 months. Has anyone had luck canceling or transferring a seguro de caución, or does anyone know a good housing lawyer?
