Sending a text message to Movistar mobile from outside Argentina?

Does anyone know what the international code is to send a text message to a Movistar Pay As YoU Go mobile phone from outside Argentina?

I have tried:
+54 11 XXXX-XXXX
And
+54 15 XXXX-XXXX

None of those work. Any ideas?

The correct format for Buenos Aires is: +54 9 11 XXXX XXXX

At one point I think Movistar.com.ar used to have a free SMS thing on their website (to send from your PC), but it t does not seem to be there anymore. Good luck!

No one has ever been able to send an SMS from abroad to my Movistar pay-as-you-go.

When I bought my Movistar chip, they gave me a separate number to receive international calls/texts.

no you must contact movistar and ask them to allow you roaming from abroad before hand.
i recieved with mine when i was abroad, and i was allowed also to make and recieve phone calls

if the cell phone is from Capital, you need to fill in 11 and then the 8-digit number after the 15 (like in the example).
