I should have been more specific as I don't expect US currency to be mailed to Argentina but through a transfer agent in USA to a location in Argentina and receive actual dollars rather than pesos and without a deposit account in Argentina being necessary.

The cost is $15 per transaction, which is only a half of one per cent. You have to send it from your bank account to get this low fee and have to specify to be picked up in dollars. Once the money arrives, the recipient has to call Argenper on corrientes to tell them they want dollars. The next day they can pick up the dollars.
