NEWSFLASH:

The January SS payment was recieved as always during the wee small house of the morning and a Western Union transfer was successfully executed at 6 am.

The January SS payment was recieved as always during the wee small house of the morning and a Western Union transfer was successfully executed at 6 am.

And the funds were deposited into my Santander account before 5 pm, in spite of the fact that the Western Union reciept for the transfer indicated that the funds would be available on Monday the sixth.

This year's statement offers a paperless option for the first time. I thought it was a good idea, so I started the process at www.ssa.gov/myaccount. You have to agree to the Rules of Use and create several passwords in different forms. That's where I had to abandon the process. I'll continue receiving mine by mail. Good luck to those who go paperless.
