I would say you speak like and Argentine!! You will do great here:) nothing bad or good it is just all in the preference...
 
Someone said we pay clothes in instalments, which is right!
But the other secret, is... go to Once. Most (if not all) shops on Av Santa Fe and big shopping centres, buy their clothes to the producers that have their own shops in ONCE. They just put a nice label on it and VOILA!
Go to Once, buy 2 or 3 items at bulk-price. Saturday is very hectic in Once. Make sure you have hideen cash and mobile, pick-pocketers in that area, are on the increase.
Also, we buy on Av Cordoba (Palermo) where the big brands have big sales and accept credit cards.
