Hi All (again)

I am joining the misses in July. We will be living in Bella Vista/San Miguel area.....

Anyway, to make a short story even shorter, I am purchasing stuff from a distance and hoping to have it all sorted for me by the time I am there....

I am still missing a couple of item such as fridge/freezer, washing machine, laptop/desk top etc.....desk for a computer etc etc...

If anyone knows any decent second hand shops or they are selling some items themselves then please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks
Ian

I've never heard of Bella Vista/San Miguel. Probably, the best way to buy anything used, would be from someone who is leaving BA. Besides Ba Expats, you should check Craigslist Buenos Aires. I would be weary about buying anything used, unless you or an expert can tell that it will still work after a few days after you bought it. Besides something that is very cheap or for an emergency, food is the only thing that I buy in Argentina. I can't afford to throw my money away.

I have bought over a hundred items (Ariston washer/dryer, furniture (sofas and beds), fridge, art books, mini-split a/c, dogs, juicers, rugs, etc.) here:

If you speak Spanish well enough to arrange for delivery and or pick up you can save a lot of money. Pay close attention the the sellers' reputations. Be sure to verify that the item(s) you are buying are actually the ones in the photos. Words like "como nuevo and "impecable" are sometimes used improperly, to say the least.

Here are a few of my recent purchases:

The pup for sale was not the one in the photo. The seller claimed the photo was the stud, but the puppy was clearly a Chihuahua Yorkshire mix. I bought him anyway at a deep discount from the published price. If he had been purebred, the asking price alone would have been about triple.

He's actually much cuter than any Chihuahua and a real sweetheart.
