Temporary Visa Renewal and Bank/Debit Card Function, etc...

Hi, all. I'm just now renewing my Visa Rentista for the first time. I'm using a lawyer who has entered my info into Radex and we're waiting on an appointment to present my papers in person and receive the new precaria. I was wondering if anyone had experience in the interim. My temp residency expires on 7 Feb but I may very well not have the appointment yet from what the lawyer says. They've assured me that's no problem as far as renewal goes as my paperwork is in Radex and the process started just waiting on them for appointment. I was wondering if my bank card will cease operating (or any other things that rely on a current DNI would not be useful) until I get that precaria/new DNI? Or will everything be ok even with expired DNI (grocery shopping ,etc)? Anyone with experience, I'd love to hear it.
