Hey you guys, Covid-born desperation hatched a TexMex salsa business right here in River City ( CABA). I was a long-term Austinite (over 30 yrs). If you’ve got a hankering for some seriously glorious, authentic, and even SPICY TexMex salsa, (and I Know you do) message me. We’ve got both green and red varieties and they will easily fix whatever ails you. You can find us on both fb and Instagram: Coyote TexMex. (there is another in the Provincia that is not us. btw) You will NOT be sorry.

oh my, i might have to buy about 10 gallons of this!!

please tell me you sell tortilla chips too! LOL

Hey I like your idea. a step further... Do you think you can actually make money at this? I make good salsa also and Ive thought about making it but didn't think it would be worth my time for the money I'd make. Plus I live in the interior where people are even more spice adverse. Is this a hobby or do you intend for it to make money?

I do not sell or make tortilla chips but we order them wholesale ( Antojotos) to sell if people don’t know where to get them, or want a large bag. And obviously we, ourselves, go through a ton of them regularly. Not sure why Tostitos suddenly disappeared from Carrefour, Jumbo and Disco a few months back. But i can only assume its covid related. And i hope they stage a comeback.

Well it was born out of my own need for good salsa. I can’t say I’m making a mint because i do spend on good quality ingredients and it takes time. But I’m selling it for 750 pesos a jar ( 360 mm. )So its not cheap. But people who like salsa ( even Argentines that LIKE spicy salsa ) are absolutely willing to pay for it, especially once they’ve tried it. So there IS a market. Also Argentines these days, I find , are becoming considerably more adventurous in their food choices in recent years. It started as a hobby But we have definitely moved into business mode. I bought a huge freezer to store our harvest of homegrown tomatillos that we grew from seed since spring.
