Since we can throw conspiracy theories around wildly now thanks to Kicillof, what if this was a ploy to make him look like a victim and change the conversation? He knew what would happen, but this moves things away from "inseguridad sin freno" to "Our poor, innocent Berni is the victim of a heinous crime in CABA, see, even in "opulent Buenos Aires" the Minister of Insecurity isn't safe!"

It was just an opportunity to make him look like a victim and put on a show, standard damage control procedures. It just arose from a gross and clumsy miscalculation of one guy - this guy does actually think he is in touch with the "working man" on the street level, and sure the masquerade has worked for him for long enough, but sooner or later any show must come to an end when the audience gets tired of being played for suckers and the script stops matching the set.

Anyone who actually believes Berni has done a good job and/ or that the policing in the city is somehow worse or less orderly than that in Provincia (even discounting the clear double moral standards and intense scrutiny about city police conduct, use of tasers and firearms used by government mouthpieces and policymakers) is free to move out to Quilmes, Moreno or La Matanza and put their mouth where their precious security is... I'm not even sure Berni knows what it is like to live there...

Patricia Bullrich sent a hit squad out to kill a bus driver in order to make the Ks look bad and the city government set up Berni to get his ass kicked?

Right? He also "forgot" some of his 17 properties he owns when filling his patrimonio with AFIP. Incredible that a public "servant" can become and stay millionaire in both pesos and dollars while the average Argentine is poorer now.
