Strange, perhaps it's because it's a credit card. I have a normal ATM card/debit card from the airline Norwegian's online bank, same kind of deal,and I don't pay a penny when I withdraw cash from the banelco. The exchange rate is getting better and better every day. It's probably not as good as the black market-dollar, but at least the rate seems to drop as rapidly as the prices are rising here.

Let's spell it out:
If u withdrawing $1000ARS each transaction, you're loosing $1000ARS(official exchange) + $38ARS fees.

Isn't a bit odd, some don't care about the $1000ARS, but very concerned about the SwineDogs of Banelco fees?

If you find yourself on the Chilean side of the Andes, BancoEstado does not collect fees for using their ATMs.
