I am amused by how every positive thing that happened in the past is attributed solely to high commodity prices.
Evidently, in the past, government actions were completely without effect.
But every negative thing predicted for the future will be solely the fault of socialist tendencies of the governments of Brazil, Argentina, and Venezuela.
The real world is a bit more complicated, on both sides of the Andes.
