I was listening to the radio yesterday on the way back from Ernie's boot sale and the presenter was saying that the conditions for Santa Rosa are almost ideal for the storm to appear on Tuesday night.
IE a cold mass with occluded front moving north which will meet a very humid mass of warm air over the north of BA. Bang!
2005 was pretty nasty, I seem to remember.
 
Santa rosa is not as bad as it used to be. Many old people I know say it was much worse in the past. They even say that sometimes the storm lasted like a whole week!
 
Some storm. It didn't even rain in my area last night and I'm just outside of the capital.
