Tourist questions : Cash for three weeks in BA?

What I'm hearing here friend .. is that on the safe side 100$USD (20000 pesos) a day will surely cover me ... depending on whether my liver explodes from drinking everyday in town and assuming I have steak everyday.
Sure $20,000 Pesos $100 US APROX PER DAY. WILL COVER YOU..!

The AirBnB listing made it seem like Puerto Madero. The apartment seems lovely with tons of facilities (sauna, spa, gym etc and 24 hr door man)
Should I find something else?
of course they do, because puerto madero is a luxury neighborhood so they market it that way instead of saying san telmo :)

but in reality, i'd define that location as across the street from puerto madero. for me the neighborhood starts on the east side of the paseo del bajo. the area you are in is fine, but it's just buildings and towers on that street. you will have to cross the avenue to get into PM with all the restaurants and bars and stuff.

i'm sure the building is fine, so i wouldn't worry. up to you what you are looking for in terms of location.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. I looked at a number of places and this one seemed pretty nice. I was told to book something in Puerto Madero... so I might have a little something to say to the owner of the listing.

I know this might seem stupid pretentious on an expat forum. The last time I was in BsAs, was in 2015. As a single traveller on the road, just want to make sure I budget appropriately ... as I definitely do not want to use my cards and pay double :)

You're spending habits may be similar to mine. I can easily spend between 100 and 300 dollars a day Thursday through Sunday. It depends on what you do. A complete dinner for 2 in a place like cabaña las lilas or Osaka will cost you like 100 bucks itself. A good bottle of liquor is about 75 bucks in a club if you're into that. And the randomness in between everything. But then Monday through Thurs I spend like 30 bucks and that still gets you good food 3 times a day. It's just depends on what you're doing.

Bottle service in a club is 75$ ...that's amazing.
I appreciate the price points. I'm not high end all the time, I can eat super Panchos all the time at Retiro station :)

And a complete dinner for 2 being $100 is also amazing. The beef is always phenomenal and I'll be bringing my own scotch to my place :)

I am a bit of a planner ... So price points, menus and bar/club prices help a lot. This forum is awesome .

75 for a bottle is going to be Grey Goose or Belvedere. Everything else is cheaper. Most people pay like 20 or 25 bucks for a bottle of Absolut. Places like Cabaña or Osaka or Alvear are top of the line places and that 100 bucks will still get main, appetizer, water, and bottle of wine for 2 people. Same meal easily 300 in a similar place in US or Europe. You only have to be careful in the wine menu. Those places have a giant selection of wines and many of those are very high priced (300 or more for certain bottles).

You can go to a "normal high end restaurant" and get a complete meal for 2 for 30 bucks. Cheaper during lunch with all the specials. But unfortunately outside of "normal high end restaurants" and up, I find the food in Argentina as not so great. I have no complaints because you really only spend around 10 bucks for dinner at a really good restaurant. Of course more for the best ones.
