Travel gear in Bs As

Hi all,

I'm planning on doing some traveling around South America now that I am in Buenos Aires, but I only have my "city clothes" here...

Can anyone tell me where in Bs As I can find some solid travel gear? Like a backpack, durable coat, versatile travel-style clothes... someplace like an EMS or North Face, where they would have knowledgable staff and a good selection.

I may be going hiking/skiing/adventuring...

I checked the forums and didn't find anything, so any advice is very much appreciated!!

My daughter is an expert in that field - right now she's backpacking out of El Chalten, but she'll be back in a few days and I'll post her information.

Try Montagne. They have nice quality clothing, equipment, etc and have a great return policy. I got all my backpacking gear there in preparation for a recent trip to Ecuador. They have many locations throughout Argentina.
