We downloaded our ballots, printed them, and took pictures with the cell phone, then emailed them back last week. Within 2 days got an email back from the county clerk saying they had been received and accepted. Washington State is efficient and honest…

Hi, everyone. Reviving this thread to see if anyone is voting in the U.S. midterms this November? My state doesn't allow for fax/email voting, so I am needing to print and mail my ballot. I wanted to use the embassy diplomatic pouch, as it'd be cheaper and I'm very broke at the moment. Though, reading prior comments, it seems the diplomat package can't be trusted to get there in time, if at all?

I've filled my ballot out and just need to print it at a local joint and ship it away this week sometime. When you take it to the embassy do you need an appointment? Or, do you just show up at the door and hand it to someone? Is there any tracking information given or verification that you've used that service to mail in an official ballot package? I'm very, very excited for the Senate candidate in my state, and some down ballot candidates, so I'm really jazzed to vote this midterm. But, if it's just going to be futile I suppose I'm stifled. Any current info would be amazing. I know at one point they were saying mail was being halted to the U.S. was that I thing, or did I dream that? Thanks for any info.

I tried dropping off my mail-in ballot at the embassy in BS. AS. No appointment necessary. Just tell the staffers at the walk up window and they'll have a ballot box brought to you to drop the ballot envelope in. My ballot NEVER reached its destination. In 2024 I was able to fax it.

I wish I could fax mine, my state allows mail-in ballot only (unless I was in the military). Draconian, especially because I have no faith in either Correo Argentina or the diplomat pouch at this juncture. I plan on going on Wednesday, so I'm hoping that it might arrive as it'll have just over a month to get there. I looked into possibly going through DHL, but it costs a fortune and I'm low on cash these days. But, I'm also so extremely excited about a politician for the first time in ages that I feel it might be worth casting a very expensive vote for them. I need hope that there's a future in my home country...it's been so bleak lately. Does the embassy give you any sort of receipt, or further information when you drop it off? How long before the election had you dropped yours off? Thanks so much for the response. Glad you were able to fax in a vote. I happened to be in the U.S. for all of the past presidential elections because I love to visit family in the Autumn so this wasn't a worry. This year I'm not getting there until December. Didn't realize anyone would be running in the midterms that would actually motivate me to bother voting, or I might have gone sooner.
