I can't get a handle on how to renew my about to expire passport. I've received many instructions, but just can't get it done. (Yo soy un viejo choto) Anyone know someone I can pay to do it for me? Thanks! Bewildered in BA

If you wish, I can ask the "gestor" who steered our residency applications through Migraciones (that was before everything went online in RADEX).

Oops, I missed the "US" in the thread title... sorry about that, I know nothing about US passports.

Go on the website of the US Embassy in B.A. As I recall it led us through the passport process, starting with an appointment to turn in our passports.

I've been following the thread and it's pretty clear the new renewal process is a mess. It feels like there's a specific 'deadlock' happening—maybe with the payment gateway or the way the portal handles the appointment slots.

I'm trying to map out exactly where it's breaking for everyone to see if there's a consistent workaround we can find. Is it an actual error message, or just that 'infinite loop' during the upload/payment phase? If we can pin down exactly which step is the wall, it might help get past it.

RENEWAL OF US PASSPORT/not lost or stolen
I did the renewal in DEC/JAN 2026 no problem following the instruction listed in the link below.
No appt. necessary once you have the docs ready submit in person at the Embassy street window 1 , no line. Calculate 4 to 5 weeks to get new passport
If a blockage has developed in the payment system, no idea.
