Vegan In Buneos Aires?

I'm a sort of newby wannabe vegan and I'm having a hard time finding organic products. I would much appreciate if anyone has tips, suggestions and inputs on reliable organic markets and farms that deliver products to your door. I live in Palermo. Thanks in advance!
To Rich One I would suggest to go beyond wikipedia for his research or you will get it all wrong. To start I would recommend the following video which is much more informative:

There is a macro bioTic raw food place on cuidad de la paz

http://lacasadeohsawa.com.ar/

Am not vegetarian vegan but we are trying limit our meat consumption so I keep an eye out for these places.

Great place, but just so you know macrobiotic and raw are in some ways almost opposites (people who are into macrobiotics often keep raw food to a minimum), and in this case I don't think they are vegan. They definitely used to use at least eggs and fish in a couple of dishes there - I haven't been in almost 10 years so perhaps this has changed, though I doubt it because they have been around forever.

The word 'macrobiotic' gets thrown around a lot here - even by people in these businesses - to mean artisanal/ vegetarian/ raw/ organic (all very different things) for some reason. All of these words are used loosely, in fact - it pays to know which questions to ask because I've caught people in that onda here telling all kinds of porkies, some of which could have even had potentially fatal consequences!

Shojin Ryori, is the palate of Japan. It was all good when people used to eat the traditional healthy foods till starting consuming
too much animal protein instead of sea foods. But everytime in Kyoto, I indulge myself in eating the Shojin cuisine.

Yes, Happy Cow is a great source! My partner and I are both vegans and have been living here since the end of November. I mostly cook at home but there are some all Vegan restaurants that are great.

Vita and Picnic are 100% vegan and quite close to each other. You can also get to-go soy yogurt, salads, empanadas, etc.

There's also Noble y Natural, an all vegan asian buffet place. The food is very good and very cheap. They have two locations.

Also check out the Buenos Aires Vegan group on Facebook. You'll find a very active vegan community posting in the group.

Suerte!

I think Kensho is the best vegan restaurant option in BA, if you can afford it.

Picnic (which is vegan) has a tremendous vegan milkshake which is one of the best I've had anywhere.

I'll post soon about a couple of cool new vegan shops I've found in my neighborhood, they even have things like colloidal silver/ food grade hydrogen peroxide/ cashew butter/ fresh coconut milk which I haven't seen anywhere else in BA. Chinatown is probably going to be your best bet for a one-stop shop, though if you are on a budget it might be worth a trip to the Bolivian/ Peruvian Mercado Andino in Liniers for some dry staples.

You can actually find decent vegan options in most restaurants and even heladerias if you know what to ask for. I've been considering making a vegetarian/ vegan/ organic/ gluten free guide to BA for my website for some time. It seems like there might finally be a demand for it!

Just want to say thanks for these recommendations! I will try Picnic tomorrow as I am teaching downtown. The milkshake sounds awesome...

I don't know if it's too late to post this, but there's a great place that I go to all the time in the downtown area. I'm vegetarian (not vegan) and I do just fine in BA. There is a restaurant called Sattva on Corrientes y Montevideo: http://www.sattva.com.ar/

Some dishes are completely vegan and others lean more on the vegetarian side since they use cheese or eggs in their ingredients.
They also have a pizzeria crossing Av Corrientes, but I'm not sure if the Pizza is vegan or just vegetarian. You'd be surprised how many Argentines don't eat meat, but from what I see it's mostly for health reasons and not for animal rights.

Being a vegan in Buenos Aires is like being a virgin in Rio. It's entirely possible, but you'll be missing out.

That last comment was hilarious
I should mention that I arrived to BA as a full on carnivore but last year I became a vegetarian. You could say i ate meat until I couldnt eat it anymore.
