visiting BA

It's a bit pricey, but Home Hotel has an amazing masseuse named Anita and the spa space there is very nice. It's a great place to catch up on all the latest foreign magazines as well! I think they have a half-day promotion going on, which sounds pretty fantastic for a splurge.
Enjoy your trip!

The Park Hyatt also has a spa in its hotel. I've never been to the spa, but I was at the hotel for a peek today. I love that back terrace/patio of theirs.

...Tranquility...

A little voices with a local accent saying "tranquility" pops into my head when I visit that place. You can actually hear the birds chirping in the big tree back there. BUt this was about Spas...

suerte

Hi Everyone,

My wife and I are retired and live in Cuenca, Ecuador. We are planning to visit BA for a week and Punta del Este for a week. We would like to stay in the Palermo Soho area (as it was recommended to us by friends).

We would prefer to locate a home stay if anyone is aware of someone that we could contact.

Your help would be appreciated.

Roxana,
By spa, meant steam/sauna and massages: oasis of calm/beauty in the bustle of BA.
there must be several (aqua vita is closed for renovations) or at least a need for one.
Just for the record, the listing that Roxana gave for the spa Tamara Di Tella IS located in Buenos Aires. People who live here call the bustling city "Capital" because the real name is "Capital Federal" within the province of Buenos Aires. Looks like this, Faena, and Hyatt are your best bets so far:)
