Doc wants me to monitor my blood pressure, and I don't feel like adding yet another gizmo to my morbidly obese check-in luggage. Do pharmacies in Argentina offer this as a walk-in service? I tried my local Farmacity, but no hay suerte. Any other places I can try?

You can get an online appointment to take your blood pressure at Farmacity.
Go to this page and click on "Quiero reservar un turno".
Then select the service "Presión Arterial y Medición de Oximetría".

I've saved the list of Farmacity locations in CABA that provide this service as pdf.

There are pubic hospitals that allow walk-ins but, given the wait times, I wouldn't recommend it. I mean, why not just a monitor down here if it doesn't fit in your luggage? They aren't that expensive:

yes I think most pharmacies will do his for free if you walk in and ask.

Definitely available in some electronics stores and medical supply places, and many pharmacies.

Several Pharmacies here in Recoleta check blood pressure walk-in service, cost between $2000 and $4000 pesos.
  • TKL , Larrea corner with Santa Fe
  • Leloir Larrea corner Berutti

When done correctly, taking your own blood pressure at home may be more accurate than having it taken after walking into a clinic or a pharmacy.

And at home you can repeat the test several times to "insure" greater accuracy.
Especially good to do it yourself if you suffer from white coat syndrome.
