Welcome to the Argentine Idiocracy

Perhaps you'd like to grab a dictionary and look up "negative" ... "racist" ... and "facts." Let us know what you find.

Negative: Could also be just "critic", or the contrary to naive!

Racist: ??????? Please use NEO -nazi....its a more powerfull word!!!!!

Facts:....Ok I agree, it was totally wrong.....Im sorry!
Go for president! It will all be good!

Interesting read.. like CFK is so offensive. Well look around you. At least she is not invading other countries with a hand full of lies bringing about the deaths of nearly a million people resulting in countless 10s of thousands of orphans in countries and circumstance those orphans will never have a chance in.

You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

I guess it really comes down to what offends you if CFKs trip offends you but the things I mentioned do not.. well you know!

eventually society will get dumber and dumber until we are governed by inept idiots, voted into office by these stupid people who keep reproducing. Argentina today is a perfect example of an Idiocracy.

unfortunately, the same can be said of the united states as bush jr. was elected twice.

also i'm not sure to what degree they use electronic voting machines here if at all. but if they do, it would be far too easy to rig an election. watch the HBO documentary Hacking Democracy

Why do you assume that the militarism of the United States does not offend me? (It does.) But it has nothing to do with the topic of this thread. Why must we compare Argentina to the USA? They are two countries that are very different.

The fact that Bush II waged war on the Muslim world has nothing to do with the fact that Argentina is an Idiocracy.

Who knows what she would do, if she could. It would be scary if she had that capability.

1. I don't have any respect for people who voted for Cristina.
2. If you voted for Cristina, I suspect my post will offend you. I'm ok with that.
3. I am not sensitive to the hurt feelings of people who are responsible for maintaining in power one of the most corrupt, inept, and thuggish regimes in South America.

From your style, I guess you are (stereotypical) US American. You may think you appear strong by making explicit statements. Though non-US people would rather interpret your text as being insensitive and arrogant and because of this they will distantiate and listen less not more to what you say.

If I would give comments to a US person about whom to vote for, I would expect a reply as "mind your own business".

However it seems you know better than Argentine people who they should vote for.

I think we can complain about Argentine politics, though as an outsider we should not question how Argentines vote.

National elections in Argentina are*Beauty Contests: male or female. Flash and glamor is the only qualification. Education, background has absolutely nothing to do with a candidate's qualifications. Electability of a humble well experienced, highly qualified candidate in Argentina is ZERO.

Equality: Remember when I was flunking a class and busting my balls to comprehend the class. Just could not get it. The teach seen I was having a heck of a time and told me, "remember, the Constitution is the only thing that says 'All people are created equal.' In the Natural Order of things, it is quite the opposite." Humbling experience to discover I was the Village Idiot.

Wrong, wrong wrong! I live in Argentina. Argentina has been my home since 2005. I am married to an Argentine woman and I am becoming an Argentine citizen. More than 70 Argentines rely on me as a empresario to provide them with work and an income. I'm sure you have no idea what it means to have 70 families relying on you. So that's why I care so much about what the people in power are doing.

I really care about the future of Argentina, that's why I make the posts I do. I can't vote in national elections (yet) but I do not consider myself an outsider in any sense of the word. I am fully integrated into this society and I want to see things get better.

Unfortunately the economy is getting worse. And with the inept leaders that we have running this country things are going to keep getting worse over the long term. So I will not keep my opinions to myself. I have a right to them. And the second my citizenship is granted that will be one more vote against CFK.

Regards!

It would depend on who is running at the time. In 2007, I would have voted for Ricardo López Morphy (good ideas, but a funny voice, so he can't get anywhere). Kirchner's first economy minister, Roberto Lavagna would have been an ok choice as well. Since Lavagna left the economy ministry the Ks have failed to run the economy seriously and have pretty much improvised everything.

In these last presidential elections there were no good options among the opposition. The best of the worst was probably Elisa Carrió. I don't really agree with any of her ideas, but she has made her stand as an anti-corruption and pro-institutional candidate.

Even if Argentina was run by a leftest, if we could at least find a leftist who wasn't corrupt and strengthened Argentina's institutions, it would be a huge improvement over what we have today. We basically have band of thugs and barrabravas running the country.
