It makes no difference. Your Western Union account as an American tourist traveling overseas has nothing to do with your Argentine Pago Facil account.Western Union owns Pago Facil.

To be clear, I was asked to provide the declaración jurada as the recipient of the funds in Argentina. I could have used either a US passport or an Argentine DNI as a form of identification, but, in either case I still had to complete and send the form to Pago Facil in Argentina. I identifided myself as the sender of the funds (because obviously I am), but even if someone else was sending the funds to me, I still would have been required to submit the form (which is supposed to be good for at least a year, if not fifteen months). It makes no difference. It's my understanding that the declaracion jurada is only for processing a direct to bank transfer thereby requiring your Western Union USA to comply with Western Union Argentina requirements. You can still receive cash transfers for agent pick up regardless and walk that cash to your local bank if Western Union Argentina is giving you problems. To be clear, I was asked to provide the declaración jurada as the recipient of the funds in Argentina. I just wanted to know from others which experiences they have with different providers to send money to Argentina, no matter if it makes sense to you or not. Anyway I will explain. As I mentioned before, for some countries WU has special offers where sending money to a PagoFacil waltet costs only a fraction of the fees of bank deposit or cache pick-up, resulting in a much lower net conversion rate. Without or with very low fees, WU has the best rate I found, but including fees it's not (always) the case.I can't make sense out of your statement here. Pago Facil is not Western Union. You can do a Western Union transfer to a Western Union branch, and extract cash. These branches often also are Pago Facil branches. ...

I hear you, but unfortunately that's not been my experience down here. Not only can Pago Facil charge you to transfer the funds to their payment network but you also effectively blanqueo the funds too by not taking the cash instead. Eventually you may also incur ingreso bruto retenciones (tax withholdings) from your PagoFacil account if you are not already on a tax regimen thanks to the new Billete virtual tax.I just wanted to know from others which experiences they have with different providers to send money to Argentina, no matter if it makes sense to you or not. When I wanted to transfer a larger amount to myself, the system prevented it because of my expired US passport. I had no problem transferring $500.Does anyone know if it's a problem receiving western union cash with an expired passport ?
I know the people working there won't care but if something comes up on their computer or whatever
