you have the order of conversion incorrect - it should be ARS -> USD

I agree, it is easier to read the conversion when plugging in amounts from ARS to USD. I checked a Citibank MasterCard transaction that i did today and it matched.

I haven't made a Western Union transfer in a while. Today I was surprised to see the rate was 1 to 1470 and no transaction fee. Are other people seeing this?

edit: USD to ARS

CCL is 1495 so it makes sense for WU to be offering 1470.
I think the rates moved late in the day on Friday. So we'll see how it settles tomorrow when the markets here open, which I think is around 11AM.

I did a WU transfer on April 20. I loaded the www.capitalone.com chrome extension and have received a good discount on my last several transfers. The app is a little annoying because it pops up when you visit commercial sites that sell things, but it's worth it to get the consistently good discount rate on WU transfers. The transfer happened the next day, where usually it takes 8 days, so I don't why this one was so quick.

Thanks. I was surprised to see a 5% jump from last few weeks.

The dollar crypto also jumped about 3% this week. Maybe a sneaky devaluation while the whole country was distracted talking about Trump withdrawing support for the Falklands in favour of the Malvinas. Who knows?
