Where To Buy Good Designer Shirts In Ba

Not sure about your style but you can try Ona Saez http://www.onasaez.com or Bolivia http://www.boliviaparatodos.com.ar/site/

For TShirts Ona Saez has fairly good quality, but they fit small (ie you'll have to go up at least one size from your usual). Also, Bolivia in Palermo -- on THames at about Costa Rica, has some very nice men's things.

(From post I interpreted t-shirts because of brands mentioned... but the above will also have button downs, otherwise for dress shirts off the rack try Etiqueta Negra, Felix, Giesso, Key Biscayne. If you want to hit a mall, forget Alto Palermo, for higher end go to Paseo Alcorta they have all above brands less Key Biscayne I believe. )

lol syngirl, you were faster to post the same places I was gonna suggest!

In fact, while we are on the subject of mens fashion (and sorry to hijack your thred Ceviche), does any1 have any advice on where I can find a decent brown Argentina leather jacket. It needs to be a slim fit (please no lectures on Argentina leather/fashion vs outside of the country :D)

Their are two diesel stores. One in Bullrich and one in Viejo..which one is better stocked for men?

Diesel in Palermo is larger and also has a second floor with discount items so maybe they have more items for men but Patio Bullrich also has a nice selection.
If you visit Palermo ask for Mauricio to help you and say Caiti sent you....if you visit Patio ask for Hector and say I sent you.

Ok. Idea of this post is to enlighten newbies like me, who have never shopped before in Argentina.

Inspired by this thread, I ventured to buy some shirts in BA today.

My shopping background - The only places I hace shopped in last 15 yrs is NYC, London and Hong Kong. So this was like a unknown territory for me.

Why I needed to shop here : I lost a suitcase full of my nice shirts recently and I was not in a mood to travel to another continent to do shopping. So the decison to shop here. Plus I regulary meet hot looking women..being smartly dressed is very important for me.

I first stopped at Diesel, Palermo. This was my worst experience for today. Though the store is good..and it did have nice jeans and motorcycle jackets but no nice shirts. The salesman were shadowing me like a fox. As if their life depended on that. It was so irritating and I felt so suffocated. Never going back in this stupid store again.

Next stop. I ventured out disappointed and saw 'levis'. Well, i am not a fan of levis but their is a saying 'beggars can not be choosers'. I stopped here and bought 2 shirts and and a t shirt. One of the shirts was excellent. The othe shirt was more for my plane travel than to meet women. th tshirt was a mercy buy, just for the heck.

Next stop . Bokura. I have never heard of this brand before. Its a Argentine brand. The label reads 'made in Argentina'. I saw some really good jeans selling at throw away prices. A good pair of jeans is always the fit and the shape..it takes on yr body. I wore one and loved it. Bought it immediately. The guy at the counter was a culprit. did not want to give me a receipt. And said they have ' no exchange policy'. Go figure!

Next stop - Tascani. I have never heard of thsi brand before. This is where I got the best service. Super nice salesboy. very hard working boy. I bought two party shirts. Not cheap but fitting well and loved the service. They also had good jeans. But I never tried them as my budget and focus were shirts.

next stop - hernenia Argentina. As you can make out its a Argentine brand. They were about to close. This is the place where I saw the best collection of casual shirts. the kind of shirts I am fond of and normally wear. I was almost disappointed, that why was this not my first stop as it had so many shirts I liked. I just bought one shirt here but it was probably the best buy of the day. It was not cheap.

thats all. I think BA, is not a bad place to buy casual shirts if one looks around and is ready to go for unknown brands.
