Where To Buy Tickets For Ferries To Colonia/montevideo

All that's fine and understandable but there's no option to pay in US$ with a foreign credit card even if I want to. What's even more mind blowing is that my OH, who has residency and the correct numbers, can't purchase on my behalf either. Sigh.
 
Final update: tickets procured from the SeaCat office. You can buy in pesos as a foreigner there, no problem at all.
 
Using your OH info or all on your own?
 
Using his info - he couldn't enter my data as a passenger even though he was buying the tickets using the correct ARG tax/ID codes.

A girlfriend was quoted 1900AP for a trip to Colonia at a travel agency. She already had information on the special fare on SeaCat posted on this forum, and bought her ticket for 630AP at the SeaCat office. She's on the fast boat at 12:30 today returning in the late afternoon. She preferred a day away from the city to dealing with migraciones to renew her tourist visa.
