Hey - is there anywhere handy for Palermo without me having to go to the ferry terminal to buy advance tickets in cash?

For the slower journey there is a Colonia Express stand right up on the very top floor of the Alto Palermo Shopping Center that will sell you a ticket to Colonia and/or Montevideo.

We didn't find that office open when we looked 3 weeks ago, any confirmation that it's still operational would be good, it's more convenient than going to their no-parking terminal at the dodgy (south) end of Puerto Madero. Colonia Express seem to be generally a bit cheaper than Buquebus, and you can stand outside on their ferry, unlike Buquebus. Immigration seems to work more seamlessly at Buquebus.

It was open on Friday 1 April, in the afternoon. That much I can confirm.

Husband bought his/MIL/BIL's tickets at the terminal in Puerto Madero with debit since the website doesn't take debit cards from the 3 banks we use. You could also pay cash there too.

Thanks guys, the Belgrano Buquebus branch was great - fast, efficient and the same price as the website. Thanks for all the recommendations.
