Where to find some quality alpargatas?

I have gone through a few shoddy pairs and would like to find some that are well made (for men).

These are basically what people wear in "El Campo" when they're not wearing boots. EVEN when they are riding horses.

PAEZ shoes are a nifty fashionable example, but you can see these shoes in stores windows all over the malls & trendy Recoleta shops' street windows.

I don't believe that PAEZ makes leather or suede ones, so you'll have to keep searching for those.

As Napoleon said, you would be hard pressed to find men not wearing them once you leave the city. Pretty much everyone - men, women and children live in them.

I paid 24 pesos for my last pair purchased in January and they're still going strong. But since I bought them in San Luis, that won't help you much.

Oh & they are becoming more and more popular in the US. Tom's sells them for about $50 a pair. All my nieces and nephews either have them or are waiting to get them - they have become the "must-have" for the highschool set.
