Just jumping on to see if anyone had other ideas about where to change dollars in Salta. There doesn't seem to be a Xoom or More Money office here, and I'd sure like to find an alternative to the main Plaza. Anyone else have experience changing dollars here?
There are guys on on the side of the plaza where there are all of the sidewalk cafes, near the corner of España & Mitre street (corner of the catedral), who buy dollars. They are strictly business but I suggest bringing a local friend as backup if you have one.
Alternatively, the Xoom went away for a while, but now there is apparently another one on calle urquiza in a different store than it used to be.
