Maybe its because so much happaens inside here...but yes,news channels here,leave a lot to be desired
Well,dont know,if that is the case,why americans are so uninformed of what happens in the world?

No its not because there is so much going on here, because they keep going back to the old news stories from months/years ago. For example when the Je suis story had broken I thought i`d turn on the tv to watch the news and there was nothing. Just the local news as normal. And the majority of the news here wouldnt even appear on news channels in other countries. The other day there was a news item that lasted 10 minutes about some woman who was complaining because her house was full of sewage after a pipe burst. And they manage to show the same 3 photos over and over again on repeat for the whole 10 minutes whilst this woman was talking on a bad line on her phone. It was ridiculous.

To Argentinos, there is no news outside of Argentina, unless it directly involves an Argentino, or a buzzard (or English Prime Minister) trying to do harm to an Argentino.

Funny, reminds me of our local newspapers best of 2014 supplement over Christmas. That had some 30 pages of all the news of 2014 split into national and international. Of the 12 pages showing each month of international news, they printed 10 pages of stories about the pope. ffs

I watch every saturday at 12:30 VISION 7 INTERNACIONAL news exclusively from events around the globe, with very interesting guests (from Alexis Tsipras to Alain Touraine to Rafael Correa) with specialists in international relationships from different universities and institutions from Argentina & the world.
It is very rich the programme, of course with a clear ideological "progre" posture, with a journalist I admire a lot, a proffesor from my Faculty, sociologist Pedro Brieger.

Usually goes to 13:30 but lots of times lasts till 14:00. Information always based in facts, although as I said there is lot of interpretation with a perspective I share.

I've got cablevision basic package. it always seems, when I arrive in BA, the first thing I see when turning on the TV is one of my states politicians saying something really stupid enough so to gain international attention. might be CNN.

Thanks, seems there are plenty of other sources for international news. I`m just still confused why none of the 5 Argentine news channels on our cable network here never reports international news apart from something that involves Argentina. Oh well.

They barely report on anything that happens outside of Buenos Aires too.
