Apologies if this is something that has already been addressed here, but I just attempted to send my husband $500 through the WU website with our credit card and got the fraud alert department. Should I instead try sending to myself? Are we allowed to send ourselves money through WU? THanks!

Credit card charge on my account resulted in a 9 dollar fee but no extra interest. Went back to debit card transfer

Always use debit with WU or your bank will likely count it as a cash advance and charge high fees. You know... because what you're doing is exactly that, turning credit to cash. And it's the number one way to tell your bank that you're broke and trying to liquefy credit. Even if it's not true.
