    I'm Ready To Move

For me, the only way to work was with a landline telephone and two internet service providers. I got quite good rates using international calling cards bought online, and I also use the call-back service "call2" from time to time. In my case they are out-bound calls and teleconferences and I am...

    I'm Ready To Move

If you depend on the phone for work I wouldn't recommend tying it to your internet. I did that at the beginning and was unable to call my clients in Europe when my internet went down for several weeks and each time the power goes out. It happened too regularly to be feasable.

    I'm Ready To Move

As long as you rent a place with a phone line already installed, since waiting for the phone company to come and install a new line can take months.

    Visa Run And Passport Expiration

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. I won't be on standby for more than 10 days, so I won't bother with Colonia.

    Visa Run And Passport Expiration

If I pay the fine and get the permission to exit form at the airport, is it good for 10 days? My situation is that I'm flying out on standby, so I won't know if I'm getting on the flight until an hour before. I wouldn't want to have to pay the fine again the next day if I don't get a flight out...

    Visa Run And Passport Expiration

Has anyone done a visa run to Colonia with less than 6 months validity on their passport? I'm leaving Argentina definitively in March and I would like to take care of my overstay fee beforehand. My passport expires in June, and sometimes countries ask for 6-month passport validity upon entry...

    Room In Palermo Available

We've got a room with a double bed available in our 3 bedroom apartment from mid-December. It's not a summer sublet, so you can stay as long as you want. We are three young professional expat roomates and one is leaving us soon. The apartment and room are fully furnished and have, of course, all...

    Temporary Rentals And Pesos

Are temporary rentals included under the pesofication law? We've met with a landlord who says he's willing to accept pesos at the official rate, but he wants to write the contract in dollars. Can we ask the contract be written in pesos according to pesofication?

Sorry, but you're wrong. I am looking at the website for the consulate in Washington right now and the reciprocity fee is correctly stated as $160. Entry Reciprocity Fee for American Nationals When entering...

reciprocity fee - must pay online

It's the airlines who check the most current requirements and keep themselves updated because they can be fined for sending people to a country without the proper documentation.

reciprocity fee - must pay online

Actually, citygirl, several people have said that the fee will create a further "obstacle to tourism", which I think is an unreasonable statement. Go ahead and read the thread again from the beginning. My comment wasn't directed specifically to you and I'm sorry that you took it that way...

reciprocity fee - must pay online

I seriously doubt a $160 entry fee is going to have any impact on tourism whatsoever. Be reasonable.
