if I'm daft ignore me - but anyone found rye bread here? I have looked and asked for "pan de centeno" at various bakeries and Lepi in Recoleta which has awesome breads and the answer was nunca nunca nunca! :(

the Carrefour on Vicente Lopez, entre Rodrigues Pena and Montevideo has it....AT times, ojo on the at times! and you have to look for it floating around near the ready made salad packs etc...i've ALWAYS found it in Barrio Chino!

We've been through quite an ordeal setting up our company in BA. Something that should have (could have) taken 3 months took 9 and then some...and who's to blame? Not Argentina or even bureaucracy, but very very poor advice from which was supposedly a well trusted and reputable local law firm...

Airlines get fined if they do not check return our outward bound flight information. We purchased a cheap ticket online to Uruguay, but were not asked on arrival, but were definitely checked flying out of JFK by United!

I went to Bamba Chica - now called El Paraje de Areco - a while ago and it was really great! I believe most such ranches will be touristy, but the owner and her sons were there, hands on and the farm is an easy bus ride from BA. See the tripadvisor link below for more opinions...

hey there! I bought rennet the other day from Dona Clara - takes for ever waiting in line there though... I was going to make buttermilk with it - but ended souring the milk with lemon juice - so point is i never used the rennet - if you'd like to pick it up from me - you can have it for free...
