Dear all, around the 10th of June we need to travel from Neuquén to Buenos Aires (leaving on a flight a week later), two adults, approx. 5 big suitcases, a Golden Retriever and a kennel. We don't know what the travel restrictions will be around that time (we'll probably need a special permiso as...
Hi thanks for your reply. Yes I have been living in nqn for 1.5 years already (11 yrs in Argentina) so know the situation but was hoping for a miracle of an expat living here wanting to sell a used but decent computer. I realized it was a long shot
First of all, Happy New Year to all. I realize this is a long shot but would anybody by any chance have a computer (preferably Macbook) for sale in or around Neuquén? My Macbook was stolen in Las Grutas the other day and I need the computer for work. Thanks
For the written test there is a set of 200 multiple-choice questions which can be found on line. You will be given a random 30 questions of this set so if you learn these questions, you'll be done in 5 minutes. Prior to doing the test you have to attend a course on road safety education. In...
I was told by ACA (as well as Buenos Aires Ciudad) that when you have permanent residence your foreign driver's license is not valid here and you have to do the course and both exams to get an Argentine license. If you have your foreign license legalized at your embassy you won't get the...

It looks like immigration is reducing its backlog. I applied for permanent residency on January 27 (switch from temprorary rentista visa) and it was approved on April 22. Less than 3 months!!!

The text that you refer to doesn't say that you can't work with the precaria. It only says that the document has no legal value without an ID card i.e. you will always need to present it together with your passport or DNI. I have a precaria after I applied for permanent residency based on a visa...
Interesting this Brazilian thing. I'm Dutch and think I look Dutch i.e. soy rubia. Sometimes I am asked if I'm from the Ukraine?????? 80% of the time however I'm asked where in Brazil I'm from. I once asked a Brazilian guy I used to work with as we always speak Spanish together and as I thought...
Yes you can, it even says so on the precaria (at least on mine) however I wonder if a company can give you a contract that goes beyond the expiration date of the precaria.
