A person can be stripped of his permanent residency status (e.g. if he spends too much time outside of Argentina).
Citizenship -- not so easy.
Citizen of Argentina has easy pathway to establish residency in any Mercosur country (e.g. Brazil).
Also it's always nice to have second passport just...
I have numero expediente which is 10 digits (and the last 4 digits of this number is the year when the process has started).
I have some CUIM number which is 2 digits dash 8 digits dash 1 digit (total of 11 digits).
Also I have disposicion (resuelto) number which is mere 5 digits.
And I have...
Does anybody know a solution to the reverse problem -- what cheap prepaid plan in Argentina can I get to have Argentine number for both voice and SMS while most of the time I'm going to roam in the United States?
If you have one of the recent iphones with eSIM support then I recommend Airalo app: they offer eSIM card with 3Gb of data in the US per month just for $11.
Or 5gb for $16.
I wonder if we employ the same meaning of the word "hypocritical".
Hypocritical does not mean unlawful. Hypocritical means proclaiming (teaching others) and doing in reality the opposite things.
status of my application has changed a few days back to "DISPOSICIÒN DE RESIDENCIA PROTOCOLIZADA", so apparently something is moving there. This is 5 months since initial precaria had been issued.
my understanding is that they stopped repatriation flights.
If an Argentine citizen manages to reach Argentine border via some other route (e.g. yacht) then he will not be turned away at the border.
this depends on one's immigration status.
Can drive on US valid license as long as one is in the country as a tourist.
However if residence process is initiated then technically one needs to obtain Argentine driver's license ASAP.
I'm pretty sure the majority of passengers arriving to EZE from the United States are actually Argentine citizens.
You cannot ban Argentine citizens from returning home.
I'm pretty sure that they determine my location by tracking entries and exits from the country, not by IP address.
I can easily spoof my IP address via VPN.
so, how can I have valid precaria when I return if I spend more than 3 months outside of Argentina?
My understanding is that precaria cannot be renewed outside of the country.
So, in other words you are saying that if precaria expires while a person is outside of Argentina then he is screwed?
Must be common question but I cannot find this anywhere. What if a person has pending permanent residence petition as well as precaria, then leaves Argentina and precaria expires while he is outside of the National Territory. What are consequences of this?
