How much for a bag of laundry?

On Monday for the first time I went down to a nearby lavanderia to ask about their price. I was told 10 pesos whatever was the weight. Later on the same day when I appeared with two sets of bed lining and some minor stuff I was charged 15 pesos. When I told the person that she had quoted a...

Looking for a flatshare in BsAs? Beware of Piso Compartido

It is true, a foreigner should not pay more than the local person. Yet the reality is different. Looking for another place here I visited quite a lot of rooms and flats, it is scandalous sometimes how the locals here try to rip us off and what they offer for this price.

I paid the deposit and did not get any written confirmation. My Argentine friends when they learned about it were like: You can forget about the deposit...Anyhow, I got it back, which is at least something.

Looking for a flatshare in BsAs? Beware of Piso Compartido

Yes, exactly this is it: PisoCompartido.com.ar. Of course they had been informed more than 2 weeks in advance about my intention of moving out. I decided to do it, even if my initial plan was to remain there for a longer period, because of their attitude especially because I was paying a lot of...

    Is BsAs that dangerous??

I was considering Barcelona as well, because I am in love with this city. However, the dates of the course at the univesity there do not match my schedule, so I chose Buenos Aires. I know there are some differences between Spanish Spanish and Argentinean Spanish, like the form "vos" for example...

    Is BsAs that dangerous??

Thank you so much for so many honest responses. It is true one has to be careful practically everywhere, because it's an opportunity that makes a thief. I now know it's about precautions. I will live in a safe district and I will have my lessons in a city center, so I should be fine. :)
