I need to find pumpkin pie filling somewhere in BA. Any ideas?

Well, of course you realize I probably won't give $1000.00, but I will give eternal gratitude if you can help out!

Since coming here I have used steamed and pureed butternut squash for any recipe calling for pumpkin. I've had no trouble. My only caution would be that occasionally the pulp has a bit more water in it than a canned pumpkin so keep an eye on your crust. Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving!

To avoid the soggy problem you could bake the pumpkin mixture after cooking to dehydrate it a bit before mixing in the other ingredients of course. You could also let it sit in a sieve over a bowl overnight to let it drip off.
And now I would love myself some pumpkin pie. I just might ,I just might bake one..

As long as you are at it lets have some pumpkin bread also.

Jumbo occasionally has the large orange pupkins, usually around thanksgiving, halloween and christmas.
