I don't think it is a good idea to keep beating a dead horse, so to speak. Joe made this public, IG showed up a couple of times, not that he was MIA. Joe is not commenting, so maybe we just should not add any more to this issue. Let's just hope it gets solved, and maybe a little interest or small gift is in order. We all make mistakes, let;s not turn this into a witch hunt.

IG should never have come on this forum defending himself with more promises so far not kept. He should have waited until he made things good with Joe and then humbly apologized for the misunderstanding and maybe even come out with a real answer as to why he screwed Joe over.

Interest? He dares to throw some paltry amount out as if Joe was a lending institution (as someone else mentioned), not taking into account his responsibility to get Joe the money (accepted freely, thereby tying up Joe's money, but with plenty of time to make things right before Joe's issue became critical), and which caused Joe real hardship related to having rent for the landlord.

Ridiculous.

That's very kind, Ceviche but it wouldn't be right. I'm not destitute. I have moderately altered my lifestyle to compensate - no more eating out for awhile - purchases limited to groceries.

When I was in my thirties, I was putting in long hours at the programming salt mines in the Valley. Going to South America to have fun in the casinos would never have entered my mind. If I were still in my thirties, I'd be back in the US or Canada putting in long hours, making honest money and paying taxes. I don't have that option anymore.

Indeed.

I have myself worked very very very hard for most of my late teens/twenties and thrities to enjoy the lifestyle I enjoy today in BA.

Lot of people, i meet in BA call me "Oh..how lucky you are!" which really makes me irritated!

If truth be told .."Yes..I am lucky that firstly I was born with a fully functional mind and body, that i did not meet with a serious accident and that I was really lucky that I was born to really really awesome ( middle class) parents....BUT...BUT..most importantly of all.. eventually... I had the will and determination..I really worked my butt off to make my career and livelihood, which is paying off now"

Their are no shortcuts in life!
