Any recommendations for an OTC, non-drowsy allergy med that also doesn't make me feel like I am tripping out?
I am allergic to who-knows-what. If I have another week of sneezing, coughing, and my eyes looking like I have reefer madness, I am going to scream. I had allegies on previous visits, but since being here now for almost a year I am getting very little relief lately.

I've seen benadryl in the pharmacy here - not sure about the drowsiness. Your best bet is probably to ask a pharmacist and see what they recommend.

They're kicking my ass a little over a year later. Experimenting with antihistamines, using a NeilMed sinus rinse I brought down from the states, had a CT scan that showed no infection or sinusitis, and etc. Looks like a case of waiting for the season to end.

Just misery looking for company !

Came her in March and got bronchitis twice from the pollution. Finally went to a specialist MD and he said it is allergies. There are pollens here that are not in the States (if u r from the States) and the worst time is the winter when the rivers swell and the pollen is driven into the City. He prescribed medication and I feel great now. So maybe worth a visit to the doc.

Arrived in Bsas with years history in Ireland of rhinitis, hay fever and horse/cat allergies...all but the cat allergies disappeared in Bsas. There are some silver linings...maybe move to Ireland and find some relief and sympathies for all sufferers.,..

check your place for mold too. we found some in our place, treated it a few times and the reactions/symptoms have decreased.

When I came in July 2011 my sinuses went crazy. Within 3 days I had blown out my eardrum from sneezing and congestion inside my ear. I was coughing so hard my ribs hurt.
I got it under control and limped home to Florida.
This year wasnt as bad.

I never make it through a winter here without getting really ill on at least one occasion. Always allergy/sinus related, and nearly always lasting at least three weeks.

I know a lot of locals currently suffering with bad cases of bronchitis. Couple nasty allergens with the super damp winters and there are lots of folks with respiratory issues.

You better hurry up and find something that works, because the Palo Borrachos bloom in October and it should knock you on your ass. It's akin to Cottonwood.

Suerte chico/a
